Ashley wanders into a small tropical forest, hears splashing water and sees a to-die-for man climb up the stream's bank. He is quite nude and quickly grabs a palm frond. Ashley is not prepared for the tongue-lashing he gives her for 'trespassing'. She bravely confronts him, not realizing he is Julian, the owner of the island. She tells him the forest isn't posted where she entered. When he whistles for his dog, a huge Rottweiler bounds over to Ashley. She and the dog become instant friends, and Julian begins to regret his attitude. That evening, he apologizes and they dine together.

Ashley falls in love with Julian although she realizes that all he is offering is an exciting time while she is on vacation. Returning to Manhattan and her job, Ashley discovers she is pregnant. She writes to Julian, but he never receives her letter due to a hurricane that does a lot of damage to the island. How will these star-crossed lovers find each other? What will Julian's reaction be when he hears Ashley is pregnant?
